Leap years are such a unique event since we only get to celebrate them once every four years.
One of the best things for a student is being able to learn about a leap year during that actual year.
Everyone knows how often they come and that it adds one extra day to the month of February. But have you ever heard of the Irish folklore?
You haven’t?
It’s an interesting story about how a nun asked the bishop St. Patrick to allow women to be able to propose to men.
It now is the main story about why women choose February 29th to propose to their significant other.
This really cool story is highlighted in the free mini-book and is a game-changer to any leap year curriculum.

Trying to save money on ink: I use an HP Printer and pay for the Instant Ink program. For $3.24 (after tax) a month I get unlimited ink cartridges sent to me as I need them. And 50 pages to print a month.
Any unused pages roll over. It’s one of the best things I could ever have purchased.
To get a month of free printing sign up for HP instant ink using this code.
