Here in Texas, we are just starting to see a lot of the cold weather now. No snow, of course. But the weather has finally begun to seem like winter.
This is when I love to whip out all my winter-themed activities. Some of our favorites are arctic animals, general winter themes, and an all penguin theme.
So as you look to add some winter projects to your curriculum, here are 5 winter-themed hands-on activities with unique ideas to inspire you and get you motivated.
1. Slime Avalanche Preschool Arctic Animal Activity by Stay At Home Educator
For a hands-on and adorable idea, I am crazy about this snow floam activity.
It is a great way to put that sensory table to work and can help your little one practice their arctic animal facts. For younger students, it is an excellent way to incorporate imaginative play.

Easy and perfect for toddlers. This fun game is great for a learning center.

With most being no-prep or low-prep you can download, print, and cut a few pages. Now you have enough curriculum for a week on Arctic Animals.

Instead, the art is more ‘focused on the process,’ and it still creates this remarkable painting. I am so happy I came across this little gem.

5. Snowman Winter Rhymes Activity by Homeschool Preschool
This rhyming printable requires little prep to get it set up.
Just print and laminate if you would like.
‘There are 30 sorting cards. Half of them have rhyming words. The other half feature images that don’t rhyme.’ The snowman theme can be seamlessly added to your curriculum for the day.
