Learning to count and using it in practice is a fundamental skill for young children to develop. This is especially important for toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarten-aged children.
This fun ladybug gardening themed printable is both fun and easy to use for younger kids.
It contains two different counting exercises in one FREE PDF.
This 5 page freebie has 4 pages of ladybugs on a leaf for them to count and record.
The last page is counting mat sheet that your student can use over and over again.
You can choose to use the ladybugs attached to the sheet or can opt for playdough balls to represent your own lady bugs.
Either way be sure to laminate it or use a page protector to get the maximum use out of this awesome counting mat.
How to Use:
- Print out the printable.
- Laminate the counting mat for multiple uses (if you would like).
- Cut out the clip counting cards. Cut out the ladybugs on the counting mat if you want to use those.
- Have your little one count the total of ladybugs on a card and choose the right answer.
- Younger students can use clothespin to build on finger strength. While, older students can simply circle the right answer.
- Continue with each card until they have counted them all.
- For the counting mat. You can use number flashcards to choose an amount to place on the mat or you can roll a dice. Whatever number is rolled they would place that amount there.
- Enjoy all the counting fun.
